2-day class with Teacher Catherine

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:00 am - 11:30 am

For children age 2 and older by June 1st

Children in this class are invited to explore the learning environment and develop social skills. Throughout the school day, they will engage in a range of hands-on, age-appropriate experiences including craft projects, sand play, sensory play, science experiments, dramatic play, cooking, gardening, circle time, and story time.

Parents supervise play activities, socialization, and problem-solving in the classroom once a week. Parent-ed meetings are held twice a month from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm while their children attend a supervised lunch bunch. 

Two teachers, twenty-four children, and 8-10 classroom adults make up the class (adult:child ratio is 1:3).


the co-op commitment

  • Assist in the classroom once a week

  • Participate in parent discussion groups twice a month on your workday

  • Fulfill at least 10 hours on a school job

  • Provide snacks for the class and parents per the rotating schedule

  • Help with maintaining the building and grounds by attending one 2-hour deep clean shift

  • Attend the parent orientation and 2 of the 3 parenting webinars noted on the calendar

  • Participate in fundraising activities      

Tuition is paid in nine $325 installments September-May

Play and learning go hand-in-hand. They are not separate activities. They are intertwined. Think about them as a science lecture with a lab. Play is the child’s lab.
